My stoneware pottery is a cone 6 clay with cone 6 (2230 degrees) glazes. It has been fired in an electric kiln. Stoneware is dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe.  It is food safe.  Always bake by placing in a cool oven and then preheat to avoid thermal shock.

My low fire pottery is a cone 04/06 clay with cone 05 (1888 degrees) glazes. It has been fired in an electric kiln. Low fire pottery is dishwasher and food safe.  It is serving ware, not baking ware. It should not be used in the oven.

My Raku is created with stoneware but is non functional due to the firing process. Care for your raku as you would a sculpture: wipe it with a damp sponge, but take care not to use too much water. It is porous and cannot withstand water and therefore not a vessel for fresh flowers.  Raku is sensitive to UV and best kept away from bright sunlight.

My saggar fired pottery is stoneware that has been coated with terra sigillata and burnished before pit firing.  It is non functional because is it porous and using water will weaken it.  A wax has been applied to the surface of the vessel. It is sensitive to UV and best enjoyed in low light.
